– If testing requires the supervision of a classification society, it is recommended to contact that organization before removing the specimen.

– Identification information, such as the smelting number, should be marked on the test pieces. In addition, rolling direction should be marked on the sheet metal.

– Welding tests should be accompanied by a material certificate and welding test report.
